Kalichaat, a crystal clear depiction of reality of Indian farmers is a feature film of 71 minutes. Extracted from a novel sharing the same title, Kalichaat stands for a hard black rock that cannot be moved or broken by the efforts of a human being. In the film, Kalichaat is a symbol of infinite hurdles faced by the farmers due to severe water crisis problem. Directed & produced by an epic writer, philosopher and human being, Sudhanshu Sharma, this short portrayal is an attempt to sensitize the society about the poor farmers who strive day and night but could not fulfill even the bare necessities of life.
